architectural graduate  melbourne, australia

Hello! I’m Tess, a Graduate of Architecture from Melbourne, Australia, with experience across both architectural design and interior design.

I’m currently based in Barcelona, where time spent working with a local architect — alongside ongoing freelance projects across Europe, Australia and the US — has influenced how I think about context, materiality and restraint. Combined with my experience in Australian practices, it has shaped my appreciation for design that is refined, efficient and grounded in place.

Completing my Passive House certification deepened my appreciation for high-performance, low-energy architecture. I’m excited to integrate this knowledge further in practice and to learn from studios who are actively shaping sustainable design outcomes.

Across four years of professional practice, I’ve worked on a diverse range of projects, from small-scale residential to multi-residential and apartment buildings, as well as bespoke interior design and joinery projects. I am proficient in ArchiCAD, Revit and industry-standard design tools, and I thrive in collaborative environments shaped by strong communication and shared vision.

At the core of my design approach is empathy. I value listening, understanding clients’ needs, anticipating how people live and move through space, and translating that into work that feels intuitive, functional and quietly elevated. Whether collaborating with architects, working directly with clients, or delivering freelance design packages, I bring a calm, detail-driven approach to every project.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I’m excited about future opportunities to contribute to thoughtful, sustainable and contextually rich architecture and interiors.
